Pearl of the Mediterranean canyons : tropical atmosphere!
This canyon is located on the heights of Ventimiglia (Italian border), 25 minutes from Menton, Riviera, less than an hour from Nice.
The Barbaira or Barbera canyon is one of the most beautiful canyons in Europe, clearly the prettiest in the region . These emerald green pools and the lush vegetation of the gorges will definitely seduce you! The Barbaira canyoning is located in Italy, in the small typical village of Rochetta Nervina.
A 30-minute approach walk will take you to a Genoese bridge, the start of this pretty canyon. Some will even launch themselves from the latter (7 meters) others will progress on more gentle jumps to reach a natural waterfall that is crossed by abseiling or zip line.
A picnic break is planned during this outing.
Then the jumps follow one another in clear water, then a few slides will take you into a deep gorge with lush vegetation, a tropical atmosphere!
The last rappel under the waterfall will allow you to access a succession of pools suitable for jumps to arrive at the lagoon of the old mill near the village of Rochetta, the end point of this canyon. In everyone's opinion, a memorable day. This race will allow you to discover jumps, rappels, slides, zip lines and river swimming.
